studio cab began as a spark between two weary travellers. Annabel Colterjohn and Thornton Brewer crossed paths in Mexico City airport, where delayed flights so often lead to languid chat. Discussions in design arose naturally before the two parted as transatlantic friends. Years later, Brewer would move to London where the pair now lives and works.

It’s our firm belief that you don’t make friends, you recognise them. The common aesthetic vernacular which united us now fuels our shared practice. Brewer brings his savoir faire as an interior architect, experience in creative direction and set design, as well as business acumen picked up from a past life in consulting. Colterjohn injects a fluent understanding of culture and identity imparted from her time in a luxury branding agency, alongside years of creative consulting within the design space. Both intersect in a passion for art, culture, and the poignancy of fleeting brushes with beauty. We now turn our attention to creating something lasting at the confluence off all these elements, designing resonant spaces which speak to a deeply human sense of who we are, what we love, and how we wish to live.
